Painting a Healthier Future: Uniting Through Art for Planetary Health

This Saturday, international health students from Charité gathered to express their ideas about planetary health through art. Planetary health was a core course led by Dr. Med. Sabine Baunach, an expert in Planetary Health and Sexual & Reproductive Health. Drawing inspiration from the course content, we used our paintings and discussions to explore various aspects of planetary health.

During the event, we discussed what planetary health means to us and which aspects interest us the most. We enjoyed engaging conversations about networking, life in Germany, and our career paths. At the end of the event, we happily named our paintings, with students expressing sentiments such as "we all need to face reality and stop pretending that everything is going to be alright."

Our goal with the Global Health Canvas meeting on planetary health is to engage more people through art and discussions, both within our community and the public via our social media channels. We aim to foster a future where health is viewed as a global concern, and collaboration is key. To this end, we utilize the universal language of art to stimulate thought and action.

If you support our programs, we invite you to follow our activities on the Global Health Canvas website: www.globalhealthcanvas.com, as well as our LinkedIn and Instagram pages. Additionally, you can contribute to our blog by sharing your health-related artwork or join us for our next event. Your contributions can also help fund our events and initiatives.

Thank you for your support and involvement in advancing planetary health awareness through art and discussion.
