Global health canvas
Substance use
Paintings by individuals who use drugs often exhibit vibrant and inspiring qualities, showcasing deep emotional and artistic expression. These works challenge societal perceptions, highlighting the creativity and resilience of the artists. Ending the stigma surrounding drug use is crucial, as it enables a global effort to provide more resources and support. By encouraging coordination among communities and organizations, we can uplift these artists, celebrate their contributions, and advocate for compassionate approaches that emphasize rehabilitation and empowerment.

Planetary health
Why planetary health? Because human health and the health of our planet are inextricably linked. We need our planet to be safe, healthy, and a place for us to nourish our beings. Our planet is now in danger of extreme climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss, and we all can be affected by it. Art for us is a strong tool to show our thoughts and concerns. Through this workshop, we had conversations about our individual viewpoints and we also got to know what other aspects are there for us to explore.

Art without boarders
With over 1 billion people on the move worldwide, including 84 million forcibly displaced individuals, the need for attention to their health and well-being is paramount. Many refugees and migrants face significant health challenges in countries of transit and destination due to various barriers, such as language barriers, cultural differences, and institutional discrimination. Moreover, social, political, and economic exclusion often lead to poverty, homelessness, and exploitation, increasing the risk for noncommunicable diseases among these populations. In the 'Art Without Borders' workshop, we provided a safe space for expression, advocacy, and empathy, shedding light on the challenges of migration. We shared our individual experiences through conversations and also through our paintings.
